Calling all Recycle Rangers! It’s time to get serious about the planet. Did you know that as of 2020, Eastgate Mall will no longer be using any plastic shopping bags? So, come and join in on this fun initiative to help save our world by keeping as much plastic out of the oceans and landfills as possible.
The Recycle Rangers Fashion event calls on all Eastgate shoppers, especially the little ones, to come and learn all about how much fun recycling can be. Visit Eastgate’s Aloe Court this October, to find out how you can make fashionable items from recycled material that Eastgate has collected; like plastic bottles, bottle tops and straws. From fashion design to stylish accessories, do it all the eco-friendly and eco-fashionable way with Eastgate!
If that wasn’t enough to get you recycling, then pop into a Fashion Upcycle Workshop hosted by Threaded Dame. Threaded Dame started out as a hobby, but soon became an avenue for promoting environmental issues close to their hearts. They use hand-crafted custom embroidery to channel their creativity into transforming everyday goods into inspirational and unique pieces. Threaded Dame’s Recycle Ranger workshops will include demonstrations on how to create your own upcycled clothing embroidery, painting and sharpies from recycled material.
For the most fashionable thing to do this October, look no further than Eastgate’s Recycle Ranger Fashion Edition!
