BOMB SCARE received EASTGATE SHOPING CENTRE

Eastgate Centre Management can confirm that a call regarding a bomb threat was received on Thursday, 21 May 2015.
Emergency services and the SAPS bomb squad are on site inspecting the premises. As a precautionary measure the Mall is currently being evacuated.
Eastgate Centre Management would like to reiterate that the safety of shoppers and tenants is of utmost safety and all necessary safety precautions shall be adhered to during this process.
The centre will continue trading as normal once it has received the all clear from the SAPS and emergency services.
The evacuation was a precautionary procedure as the safety and security of shoppers and tenants is of utmost importance to Eastgate Centre Management

Eastgate Centre Management can confirm that a call regarding a bomb threat was received on Thursday, 21 May 2015.
Emergency services and the SAPS bomb squad inspected the property for any suspicious items, but could not find anything to substantiate a threat.
Eastgate Shopping centre has received the all clear from the SAPS and emergency services and the centre is trading as normal.‎
The evacuation was a precautionary procedure as the safety and security of shoppers and tenants is of utmost importance to Eastgate Centre Management.
